Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines wanted cutaway cruise ship illustrations to show all of their on-board attractions in a way that would orientate the passenger. Cutaway illustrations of Freedom of the Seas, Monarch of the Seas, and Vision of the Seas. All the cruise ship illustrations were drawn form deck plans, cad elevations, and reference photography. They are used as an interactive display on their web site, and as brochure illustrations. The line art was created in Adobe Illustrator; the painting was done in Photoshop. We have just finnished the cutaway illustration of the Oasis of the Seas, as soon as Royal Caribbean has made the reveal we will post it here. |

Oasis of the Seas, New cutaway illustration. It is the largest digital illustration of a cruise ship produced to date. It took over 1000 hours of work.The line drawing was done in Adobe illustrator with 84 layers, The rendering was done in Adobe photoshop on 368 layers. The final files size is 5.57 gigabites, it is 200 inches in length at a resolution of 300dpi. No photography was used in the illustration of the ship.
